Mamas, dads, and children gathered in a sunlit living room

Our Village 💛

It takes a village, and ours is shaped by the people who show up, share ideas, start conversations, and bring us together. Meet some of the wonderful mamas, dads, and partners helping make Masala Mamas what it is.

Between Us

A space for honest conversations, shared experiences, and the things we don't always say out loud. Meet the mamas and facilitators helping create space for these conversations.

Hi! I’m mom to three girls (including identical twins!). Having grown up across Delhi and Boston, I now call San Francisco our home. My day job is working in tech. I love to travel with our family and love a good coffee and brunch spot! Becoming a mom revealed just how profound, and often unseen, the identity shift of motherhood really is. I'm passionate about helping mamas carve out time to reconnect with themselves and others in the same season of life through real, raw conversations. Through neighborhood meetups, and mom only gatherings, I’m hoping to help build our village here in SF.

  • Katrina Roundfield

Mom of two boys, formally SF residents but now living across the bay in the beautiful Oakland hills. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist who turned my own struggles with postpartum into a company, Tara (withtara.com), to support other moms. I’m excited to support Masala Mamas!

My day job is in corporate finance at a biotech. Outside of work, you'll find me at Pure Barre, hiking, making travel plans, or lost in a book. Fun fact - I was born in India, grew up in New Zealand from age 8 and migrated myself to USA at age 23. Through the book club, I’m excited to meet fellow bookworms, highlight South Asian voices, and host intimate author events that spark conversations about identity, ambition, and life. Beyond the books, my goal is simple: to use great stories as an excuse to gather, unwind, and build lasting friendships among Masala Mamas.

Dad to a two-year-old boy who’s keeping life entertaining! We’ve called SF home for the past couple of years. Big F1 fan, tennis player, and photography enthusiast. Love exploring new restaurants, traveling, and discovering everything SF has to offer. Always up for a tennis match, watching an F1 race, grabbing a beer, or finding fun things to do with the kids. Building a community where dads can make genuine friendships, share the adventures (and chaos!) of fatherhood, and have a good time together.

    Portola

SF resident for 12 years by way of Dubai. Thrilled dad to a super active son who ensures I never actually need a cardio routine! 😅 When I’m not outdoors hiking or exploring new spots, I’m usually on the hunt for a great cup of coffee, checking out local restaurants, or out on the court playing padel and other racket sports. I'm hoping to cultivate a genuine space for dads to share the honest realities of fatherhood, learn from each other's journeys, and build lasting friendships along the way.

I live with my wife, my 3-year-old daughter and a small Yorkie poodle. I am a software engineer turned lawyer. After 8 years in big law, I now run my own solo practice and will start working at a tech startup as deputy counsel in a week. I love reading books and enjoy spending time in bookstores and art museums. I enjoy running and have run many marathons. I love watching F1, tennis, and cricket. These days, I spend most of my time figuring out how to communicate with my daughter and relearning how to enjoy the small things in life the way she does.

I only recently moved to SF (6 months ago). I’m a proud dad to 2.5 year old daughter who brings me absolute joy but also makes me want to tear my hair apart sometimes! I’m very into coffee, making bread, exploring new restaurants and generally walking around the city. Also an F1 fan and a KC Chiefs supporter (SF folks won’t like me for this). Recently started following EPL too. I’m excited to meet yall and build a community here!

Neighborhood Hosts

Mamas bringing our village closer to home, one neighborhood meetup at a time. Don't see your neighborhood yet? 💛 Our village is growing one neighborhood at a time. If you'd love to bring a few nearby mamas together for coffee, a playground hang, or a casual meetup, we'd love to hear from you.

I have a 2-year-old, Keval. I’m originally from Ahmedabad, work in product design, and love traveling, good food, and bringing people together. Motherhood is wonderful but can also feel isolating. I love the idea of finding my village, especially with women who share similar cultural roots and understand this wild, beautiful phase of life. I’d love to create Real friendships beyond just playdates! Casual coffee walks, spontaneous get-togethers, moms’ nights out, and family hangouts. Something easy, welcoming, and fun where we genuinely look forward to seeing each other.

I am a mom to a baby boy. I was born and raised in India, with chapters in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. San Francisco has been home for the past three years. I love creative pursuits like painting, craft nights, and calligraphy, as well as curling up with a good book. I also enjoy nature walks and swimming on warm, sunny days. I am a board game enthusiast and enjoy quizzing and trivia. Also a huge Bollywood buff who loves a fun dance session! I am 30, but still patiently waiting for my Hogwarts letter to arrive! Looking forward to meeting fellow mamas with similar interests!

I’m a TPM by profession, wife, and mama to two little humans, plus our seven-year-old goldendoodle. I was born and raised in Mumbai, India, studied in Malaysia and then US. We’re both social butterflies who love traveling, meeting people, and experiencing different cultures. I wanted the opportunity to build genuine friendships and create that sense of community right here in our own backyard. Through these meetups, I’d love to bring mamas and families together for chai, park dates, potlucks, cultural celebrations, and the kind of spontaneous hangouts where the kids play, friendships grow!
